Are you new to cruising and feeling overwhelmed by the numerous dining options? Don't worry; we've got you covered. Our comprehensive guide will help you navigate the onboard dining experience and make informed choices.

Traditional Dining: A Classic Option

If you're a planner who values routine and traditional experiences, traditional dining is the perfect choice. This classic option allows you to dine at the same table, at the same time, and in the same venue every evening. The benefits of this option include:

  • Building a rapport with your server, who will learn your preferences over time

  • Having a fixed schedule makes it easier to plan your evening activities

  • Enjoying an authentic, old-fashioned cruise experience

My Time Dining: Flexibility at Its Best

If you prefer a more flexible dining approach, My Time Dining is the way to go. This option allows you to choose a different dining time each day, depending on your schedule. You'll be assigned a venue, but you can arrive anytime during operating hours. Remember that this option operates on a first-come, first-served basis, which may result in a wait to be seated. Additionally, you may have a different table and server each day. If flexibility is more important to you than routine, My Time Dining is an excellent choice.

My Family Time Dining: Perfect for Families

My Family Time Dining is an ideal option if you're traveling with kids. This convenient and enjoyable experience allows parents to spend quality time with their children during dinner while also enjoying some alone time later in the evening. Here's what you can expect:

  • A fixed dinner time of 6 pm

  • Expedited service for kids who will dine with their parents for 45 minutes

  • The Adventure Ocean program counselors will collect the kids at the front door and escort them to their evening activities, allowing parents to enjoy a date night.

  • A guaranteed seating assignment in the same venue each day

Specialty Dining: An Exclusive Experience

If you're looking for a more exclusive and intimate dining experience, consider Specialty Dining. Please note that an extra fee applies to this option, which usually covers the cost of the meal. However, some menu items may incur an additional charge. Reservations are always required for Specialty Dining venues, which offer a unique and sophisticated atmosphere. These smaller venues provide a distinct dining experience worth the extra cost.

Understanding the different dining options available on Royal Caribbean cruises can help you make informed choices and enjoy a memorable onboard experience.
